INSTRUCTIONS

Week 6 - Photo Recoloring

In week 6, Mr. Fauzi talked about photo recolouring by using Adobe Photoshop. Brush Tool and Blending Mode such as Multiply, Overlay and Soft light are needed in the recolouring process to turn black and white photos into coloured photos.

Exercise 1

A black and white photo of an old man was provided by Mr. Fauzi for us to practice.

Exercise 2

In this exercise, we learned about advanced photo recolouring by using more tools like Layer Mask, Solid Colour Layer etc. The tool I like the most in this exercise is Refine Edge Brush Tool, it can differentiate the hair with the skin very well and it ease the process of photo recolouring. 

I chose this photo of Lisa provided by Mr. Fauzi for this exercise.

The progress of photo recolouring on this photo of Lisa. I created different layers for different parts on face and body and further edit on the colour by adjusting Hue/Saturation.
