Week 5 - Hearst Mansion Exercise

The exercise that we need to do in this week is called "Hearst Mansion". In this exercise, we need to cut out the image of Shazam and paste it in the Hearst Mansion by using Photoshop. Here is my work regarding to this exercise. This is the image provided by Mr. Fauzi for us to cut out using Photoshop.

By using Quick Selection Tool, the shazam can be selected easily and cut out by creating mask layer and paste in the Hearst Mansion. The Shazam in the Hearst Mansion need to be edited to blend it better into the Hearst Mansion. The steps of editing- create a shadow of shazam by using brush tool and apply Gaussian Blur effect on the shadow and lower its opacity to make it more real. Later on, we need to create reflection of him on the water surface by using Ripple filter and adjust Hue/Saturation on the reflection of Shazam.

This is my final work on this exercise.

After this exercise, we are assigned with a new exercise to use our own photo instead of Shazam's and replicate the steps of the previous exercise. To be noted that we need to take our own photo at eye level with correct lighting condition. 

I chose this photo of mine as reference.
